A Key Player
Dr. Ken Koenigs,
Class of 1974 was a standout player for the USD 265 Goddard High School Boys Basketball Team where he was an outstanding student-athlete. He was a key player and helped lead the Goddard team to state. At nearly 7-feet tall, he was recruited by the University of Kansas. Koenigs was recognized as an “All Big Eight Conference Player”, and two-time Academic All American, maintaining a 4.0 GPA in Chemistry. He was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers, but turned down the N.B. A. to attend the KU School of Medicine. He completed his residency and fellowship at Yale University. He is a successful Gastroenterologist in Massachusetts, serving countless patience in need of care.
