Jeff Pacha, GHS Math Teacher, recieved the District Attitude Award. He was nominated by Dirk Ankerholz, Katie Barrientos, and Heather Aldrich.
Dirk Ankerholz said, “Jeff has been an excellent department chair. I have taught in multiple districts over my teaching career and Jeff is the best department chair I have had the pleasure of working with. He cares about his teachers and advocates for the betterment of not only the department but the school itself. He puts in extra time and is always willing to help with anything we need to make our lives, both professional and private, better. I am proud to call him my department chair, and I believe my life is better for having him in it.”
Katie Barrientos said, “Jeff emits positivity on a daily basis. His positivity glows out of him and into everyone who surrounds him. He is rarely seen without a smile on his face. He is quite the prankster and can lighten any mood. He also has a talent for reaching students on a personal level so they know they have someone in their corner. Jeff challenges me to be a better, more positive teacher every day! He is an incredible department head for the math department here at GHS and we are lucky to have him!”
Heather Aldrich said, “I am new to the district and have felt such a warm and enthusiastic welcome from Jeff. My first introduction to Jeff was before my interview, and he had a box with "something" inside to show the ladies in the front office. All they had to do was to open the lid. They fell for it, something popped out, and they jumped back in surprise. It was a fantastic introduction to this district where a relaxed and congenial demeanor seems to be the norm.
Jeff began welcoming me early on in the onboarding process and even invited me to a department get-together in May so I could meet some of my new colleagues. We ended up going to the same week of a Textron Aviation Externship in July and he was just so helpful in introducing me to the culture of the District and GHS. He answered my questions, requested my opinions, and asked what things I was concerned about so he could help make my transition as smooth and stress-free as possible. Jeff continues to show this welcoming attitude as he frequently arranges lunches for us to attend during our prep week and other ways for people to connect. Couple all these efforts with his bright and cheery personality, and you have a winner as a colleague and a department head.”

Thank you to Mr. Brad White, our Keynote speaker for tonight's NHS Induction Ceremony. He gave a great message of pursuit in life for our students. Congratulations to this year's Lionian Chapter of the National Honor Society! #LionPride

"All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." - Walt Disney
Congratulations to Hunter Noblit, Maintenance Team, for receiving the District Attitude Award!
His nominator, Mr. Blake Andrews, GHS Cross Country Coach wrote, “I would like to nominate Hunter Noblit for the District Attitude Award for his immense contributions to the Goddard High School Cross Country Program. Hunter has gone above and beyond his duties as a maintenance worker and has taken extra time out of his work week to mow out our very own 5K Cross Country course to run on campus!
Having our own 5k cross-country course on campus has been a dream come true for our athletes and coaches. This accomplishment not only provides a dedicated space for practice but also significantly enhances the training experience for our students. His efforts to maintain and mow the course each week have played a crucial role in preparing our team for our season.
Hunter is balancing his responsibilities with the maintenance department and committing his time to ensure our course is in top condition. Hunter exemplifies a level of dedication and teamwork that goes above and beyond what is expected of him. His willingness to take on this task, despite his busy schedule, reflects the positive attitude and commitment that not only benefits the cross-country program, but is a great example for all staff and students.
People like Hunter are the reason why I love working at Goddard Public Schools. He has helped make my dream a reality. His hard work and attitude are not only appreciated but truly inspire all of us to strive for excellence. Thanks to his efforts, our cross-country team now has a fantastic place to train, which will undoubtedly contribute to our success.
On behalf of everyone on the Goddard High School Cross Country team, thank you to Hunter for his outstanding service and dedication. His contributions make a significant difference, and we are grateful for his ongoing support.
This dedication is not just noticed by myself, but also the athletes as stated below:
#1 “Running on the campus course is a pleasure. It’s great for me to get ready for cross country and I enjoy it a lot. It never gets old and I always enjoy running on it. Thank you.”
#2 “Running on the course provided a nice change of pace from the trails and is easy to track our mileage. It has been a great tool that we have been able to use every week.”
#3 “No one should be expected to put that much work in for such a small group of people. People like him go above and beyond out of principle. I don’t think there are proper words to thank Hunter for such a commitment of his work and time. The course has been amazing to run on! Thank you, Hunter!”
#4 “I am extraordinarily thankful for Hunter, and how he puts in the work so we can run at the school. We are super luck that he is willing to make the track for us. Thank you, Hunter!”
