Kindergarten twinning at recess

We are starting off Neurodiversity Week on Motivational Monday with Kelsie Burr as our featured staff member. We all Celebrate Minds of all Kinds! Such a fun reminder, and so absolutely true! Wishing everyone the best Monday!

On Friday, Mrs. Enegren's class finally got to meet their pen pals from Kennedy Elementary School in Wellington. Mrs. Enegren's class have been writing letters back and forth once a month since August to Mrs. Miller's class. Mrs. Miller (Miss Delaney) used to be a paraprofessional at Oak Street so many of Mrs. Enegren's students already knew her. The students have really come to love their pen pals and are always so excited to hear from them.

We had some twinning in the lunchroom on Friday

What a fun week it has been! Lots of Tiger Traits shown, so that means lots of tickets in the drawing. Congratulations to this amazing group. They won a fun Brain-Teaser puzzle called Kanoodle!
We also have a good looking group of staff members that had tickets in the Tiger Ticket drawing (Mrs. Douglass also won, but is already at a very important baseball game for her son). It is fun for the kids to spot all the adults modeling their Tiger Traits throughout the week. They each won a 10 dollar gift card to a few local places! Congrats to this bunch as well!

Lots of great updates!

Meet Bevo!! Bevo is a 1.5 year old GoldenDoodle. Bevo is named after the Texas Longhorns mascot. Our Social Worker, Sarah Barrett, got Bevo at 8 weeks old and he began training shortly after. He first attended a 4 week all day puppy class, followed by Basic Manners and Obedience, K9 good citizen and then he passed his Therapy Dog International test on 1/18/24. Bevo has been taking the transition to work slowly and is getting better every day! When he isn't at school, he spends his day lounging on the couch or at doggy daycare with his friends. The students are enjoying him and we are so happy he is here to make a positive impact on both staff and students' lives.

Tonight is the Pre-K Enrollment Event at Challenger Intermediate School 325 N. Walnut from 4:30-7:30 PM.

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!!!

Good morning on this beautiful Motivational Monday! The Girls on the Run Coaches wanted to remind us all that Girls on the Run is so much fun! This is their weekly chant and I am told the girls in third and fourth grade that are running absolutely love it! Thanks for the reminder to have fun with whatever you are doing! Thanks also for volunteering your time ladies! We appreciate you!

Did you know you can't lick your own elbow? (Did you just try?!?) These Tiger Ticket winners are going to learn this fact and many more! They won the drawing this week and earned a fun book titled Silly Facts for Silly Kids. I bet they will be ready to share with everyone what they learned. Thanks for showing your tiger traits this week! We are very proud of you!

Lots of great updates!
