What a special week we have had at Oak Street! The students earned Tiger Tickets for showing their amazing traits, but the staff also earned tickets. Our staff is consistently modeling the correct trait whether it was respect, perseverance or responsibility. When showing these traits this week, staff members were given a ticket by another staff member. It was an amazing thing! We have never seen our ticket box so full! Congratulations to all. Students, please enjoy your book with 100 questions and staff enjoy your Scooters gift cards. Well deserved prizes all around.

These classroom buddies from Ms. Burr and Mrs. Enegren’s room had the opportunity to have donuts with veterans this morning. They learned more about the importance of honoring this special day and got to ask real veterans some questions. The special guest veterans are Miss Payton’s dad and Ms. Sue’s husband! What a great way to honor this special day.

This five already earned at least one Tiger Ticket this week, and their ticket was drawn! Congratulations! They earned a cool book called 101 Fun Questions. Get ready for lots of entertaining conversations from this group!
Today first grade buried a pumpkin along with some trash they collected. They will come back to this spot in April to dig it all up and see what is left!

Happy Monday to you all. We are back for a fun Thanksgiving themed Motivational Monday. Mrs. Hickey (Mrs. H) is sharing her inspirational shirt today. She is finishing her student teaching semester with Ms. Nikodym. Mrs. Hickey is not a new face to Oak Street though. She has worked in our building since 2016, and was an Oak Street parent since even before that. Her shirt states "In All Things Give Thanks". She said she is so thankful to complete her student teaching in our building with our staff and students. We are thrilled that she was able to do so. Thanks for being a consistent smiling face and for sharing. Good luck to you the rest of this semester Mrs. H!
At Oak Street this week we are celebrating National School Psychology Week and want to highlight our very own Alisha Guerra with her co-worker Nala. Both work hard to make sure all of our students thrive and are successful on a daily basis, even if one team member does seem to sleep a bit on the job. We are so lucky to have you as part of our Oak Street family!
So thankful for Friday and the Tiger Ticket Drawing. This lucky group of 5 earned at least one ticket, and that ticket was pulled this afternoon. Thanks for getting spotted showing your traits! They earned a NeeDoh therapy ball. The office team was very impressed with all the thank you's and smiles that this group gave the teachers passing out their winning prize. We noticed and loved it!
"What a SWEET RIDE" prize from Tiger Tuesday at Out West was redeemed this morning. Captain Phelps picked up a student in the police car and made a stop at Mr B's Donut Shop on the way to school. This prize was donated by the Goddard District Police Department
