Our amazing PTO planted each staff member a flower in a terra cotta pot and left them in the courtyard for everyone to choose from. THANK YOU for making us feel so loved and appreciated!!!!

The last "official" weekly tiger ticket drawings were this week. There were a couple students not pictured, but we tried to get the majority. A big thank you to all our students for using their tiger traits, but also a thank you to staff. They are constantly scanning and watching for students that are role models and using their traits. It is pretty cool to see so many tickets in the drawing box each week! These cuties won such yummy smelling crayons, and they will be so fun to use.
We will have one last drawing next week during the talent show, so be prepared for some happy student pictures!

First grade had a special visit from Officer Tim Wescott and K-9 Officer Mantra from Wichita Police Department today. Officer Wescott taught them about Mantra’s talents in being able to detect explosive devices and how that helps protect people. He also talked about his job as a police officer. Thank you Officer Wescott and Mantra!! 💙🚔🐾

BIG shout out to our Oak Street PTO for providing so many wonderful treats this week.

We were on the "hunt" for the best Tiger Ticket Drawing winners, and I think we found them! This group now owns a fun game called Found It! They can have their own Scavenger Hunt indoors! Thanks for using those learned Tiger Traits to earn a prize. Congratulations!

Our Girls on the Run session is coming to an end for the year. Part of the program has the girls do a community service project to show how small acts can have a big impact. Yesterday, the girls did projects around the school during their practice and decided to do 2 activities at Oak: sweep and clean up the rocks/sand around the playground and help teachers with projects.

Check out all the end of year dates!

Would you rather questions will be asked all weekend by this bunch! For the Tiger Ticket drawing they just won their own copy of the book Would you Rather for Kids. I think one of my favorites is Would you Rather be allergic to chocolate or allergic to tacos! Yikes, how could you decide?!? Have a great weekend tigers! See you on Tuesday!
