Student of the Month winners were announced today for the month of November. These kiddos demonstrated gratitude. Teaching children the importance of gratitude is a gift that keeps on giving. It not only enriches their lives but also fosters a sense of empathy and kindness. Congratulations to these Oak Street Tigers!!
Wrapping up Friday with a fun Tiger Ticket drawing here at Oak Street. Happy day for this group of five. They used their Tiger Traits and earned at least one ticket. These students had their choice of picking two items from Mrs. Mullen's stash of goodies. They loved all the random fun. Have a great weekend and enjoy your well earned treasures!

We are celebrating Tiger Trait Tuesday a little late! We had the drawing today instead of yesterday. This group has already rocked it and had at least one ticket in the drawing. They were able to pick two items from Mrs. Mullen's random stash of prizes and they were so excited! Enjoy and keep showing your traits all week long. We will have a second drawing on Friday!
Mrs. Douglass’ class ventured over to EHS today to work with Mrs. Beaver’s FACS class to make fudge, play a get to know you game, and read winter stories! We can’t wait to taste our fudge and are so excited to have made some new friends!

These cute turkeys are leaving for break as Tiger Ticket Winners! They now have a very cool book that shows them step by step how to build paper airplanes. We never knew there were so many ways to design a Paper Airplane. Enjoy flying a few over break! Great job using your traits during Feast week!

Last week 1st Grade collected donations for the Kansas Humane Society. Yesterday they came and gave us a presentation on animal and pet care. We love giving back to our community ❤️
What a chilly, but beautiful day it was to deliver Pumpkin Bread to our fabulous neighbors. We love to thank our special friends for being so great with the extra traffic, noise, and excitement that comes with living next to a school. 15 loaves were delivered by 4th graders. Also in assisting to make this possible were 1st graders who mixed the batter, our kitchen gals who baked the bread and then Mrs. Douglass and her third grade group that decorated the recipe cards. Walking with 4th grade was Mrs. Miller, Ms. Richards and Mrs. Mullen. Many fun traditions at Oak Street and this is just one of them! Don't you want to be our neighbor too?!?

Tiger Baseball two-day Winter Camp is coming up.
We needed some motivation at Oak Street with all of the rain today, and Miss Steph definitely brought that. She is showing off her shirt that reminds us that All Words Matter! This is a fun visual that shows how many of our students communicate in a variety of ways and not just with their words. We are always willing to listen at Oak Street.
