Happy Monday! We had our Tiger Ticket drawing at the end of the day Friday, but the bells and intercom were down. We decided to wait until Monday to announce the winners. These are the 5 lucky winners that were drawn. Each one earned a fun book full of Would You Rather questions! These are great for family game nights, car rides, or a sleepover. Enjoy and congratulations! Sorry we made you wait, but we hope it was worth it!

Tomorrow is Tiger Trait Tuesday!!! Show us your tiger stripes!! Wear your Oak Street shirt, along with your animal print to celebrate your tiger pride.

These two are feeling grand in green on this beautiful Monday! We love how Ms. Buresh and a 4th grade student are matching!

Oak Street Elementary Culture Committee decided to change one of our future jean weeks to help out our fellow Goddard educators at Successful Dreams (formally Lakeside). These are for the students, so they can give their best. Hope this helps just a little bit!!

Our sweet school looks so welcoming and charming because of the daily hard work that this group puts in. Oak Street would not be as well maintained if we didn't have such hard working building engineers, maintenance staff as well as grounds crew. Sometimes they are heroes that come in early or are here over the weekend making sure the building is ready for students first thing in the morning. They make the staff and students proud to call this their school. Thank you for all the effort and care you put into ensuring the oldest elementary in the district looks it best! We appreciate you today!

Just a little twinning at Oak Street today...

Today, Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Millar's class played Rock, Paper, Scissors evolution during their morning meeting! A good time was had by all!!

Here's a few pictures from MonArt class on Monday.

Saturday, October 7th is the Fall Festival parade and Oak Street students love to throw candy as they walk. If you send a bag of candy in to the office, your student will be entered into a drawing for a chance to ride on the float!!

Happy short /i/ week from these three little pigs in first grade!

Yesterday was another Motivational Monday here at Oak Street. Ms. Jennifer Keller is one of our amazing special education paraprofessionals. She had the perfect shirt for the first Monday in Fall. Thanks for sharing your colorful pumpkin shirt with us!

Thanks to an anonymous donor who wrote a check for $2,392.00, Oak Street officially met their goal of raising $5000 during the No Sale Fundraiser so Mrs. Miller will be arranging an inflatable day for all students to participate in during their PE time. An extra special thank you to the anonymous donor and to everyone else who participated!!

TOMORROW IS THE DAY!!! Tiger Tuesday at OutWest 5-8 PM!! This will be a fun event for the entire family!! You don't have to be an Oak Street family to attend. Lions and Tigers and more!! The more, the merrier!!

Thanks to Mrs. Douglass for purchasing the prizes this week! She knows exactly what our students like!
These Tiger Ticket winners are going home with a cool set of neon building blocks. These blocks look like a mini tic tac toe board and are super fun to create with! The kids are pumped.
We sure had a full box of Tiger Tickets from our five day week. We loved seeing all the tiger traits shown each day! Enjoy your weekend.

Today, Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Millar's 4th grade students practiced teamwork by playing yard Jenga together!

On Monday, Oak Street Elementary hosted a Joint Elementary Site Council Meeting. Captain Carrie Phelps presented on School Safety. A huge thank you to Captain Phelps for presenting on this important topic as well as answering questions from our Site Council members.

At Oak Street, we are so lucky to have an amazing amount of technology for our staff and students to utilize. With that technology, there are always many questions, constant updates needed, and occasional broken chrome books to deal with. These two step up every time. This is the IT dream team that is often over at Oak Street and they are always willing to give a hand. Big thanks to Tyler Hahn and Mickie Nally for taking our calls. We appreciate you always, but especially on today which is National IT Professional Day! Oh and anytime Mrs. Hagel sees Mickie, you will hear (Oh Mickie, you're so fine...) being sung! It is a guarantee!
