1st grade is celebrating Read Across America Week. Today we talked about how reading takes you places & dressed like what we want to be when we grow up!
Happy Tiger Trait Tuesday. Cooperation is the focus trait this month. We have already seen so many using their skills of cooperation daily in the hallway and within the classroom. This group earned tickets this week to win a Colors of the World Marker set. This is the best set to pull out when you want realistic skin colors for art projects. Thanks again to PTO for purchasing all of these prizes. Congratulations to this group and look for another set of winners on Friday!
A little puppy love to make it through the first FULL week in a really long time.
GHS is offering a fun event for K-6 students. Each year, KAY organizes a Father/Daughter Dance in the fall and follows that with a Mother/Son Nerf battle in the spring in hopes to build community and raise some funds to help them with projects to benefit the student body and school community.

Parent Teacher Conferences
Student of the Month winners were announced today for the month of February. These kiddos demonstrated perseverance by pushing themselves to work through challenges and obstacles. Congratulations to these Oak Street Tigers!!
Ms. White's and Mrs. Long's students had so much fun playing melody with our new classroom set of Prodigy Music Bells! Thank you to the Goddard School District for purchasing the classroom set of these bells so that all of the students can play at the same time. Welcome to the new Oak Street Bell Band :)

Dental Hygiene Week in 1st grade!
These students only had two days this week to earn tickets and they all rocked it. They were drawing winners for showing their Tiger Traits. They earn an entertaining Dinosaur stacking game. Good luck not making the game topple over! Have an amazing weekend!
